Three Yuan
The three five-day eras — Upper, Middle, and Lower (上元, 中元, 下元) — into which each solar term divides.
What this means
The era of the day, found from its stem-branch pair, combines with the solar term to select the chart's Ju. The same hour on different days can therefore cast different plates: the Yuan is the calendar's fine adjustment.
