Yin/Yang Dun

What this means

Yang Dun runs from the Winter Solstice to the Summer Solstice, while the days lengthen; Yin Dun runs from the Summer Solstice back to the Winter Solstice. The mode decides which way the earth-plate stems are laid round the nine palaces (forward in Yang Dun, backward in Yin Dun) and which way the nine deities fly.

In practice

In KAXANTA, yin/yang dun is one of the concepts KAXANTA cross-references when synthesising your reading. The qi men dun jia engine surfaces it alongside eight other wisdom traditions so you can see how the same question reads through multiple lenses.
