Solar Terms
The 24 divisions of the solar year (jieqi 節氣), each spanning 15° of the Sun's longitude — about fifteen days from Spring Begins through Grain Rain, Major Heat, White Dew, and Winter Solstice.
What this means
They are load-bearing across Chinese metaphysics: Ba Zi changes its month pillar at the twelve sectional terms, and Qi Men Dun Jia selects its chart structure from the term and its Three Yuan era.
