Nine Palaces
The 3×3 Lo Shu grid on which every Qi Men Dun Jia chart is cast.
What this means
Each palace holds a compass sector, a trigram, and a native element, and receives a door, a star, a deity, and stems as the chart turns. Palace 5, the center, has no door of its own — what lands there is read through palace 2. Reading a chart is reading the palace that matters for the question: the direction of travel, the counterparty, the hour.
In practice
In K A X A N T A, nine palaces is one of the concepts The Architect cross-references when synthesising your reading. The qi men dun jia engine surfaces it alongside seven other wisdom traditions so you can see how the same question reads through multiple lenses.
