Five Element Bureau
The element-and-number pairing — Water 2, Wood 3, Metal 4, Earth 5, Fire 6 — assigned to a Zi Wei Dou Shu chart from the Life Palace's stem and branch.
What this means
The Bureau sets the tempo of the whole map: its number fixes the age at which the first ten-year Da Xian cycle begins, and its element colors the chart's underlying constitution.
In practice
In KAXANTA, five element bureau is one of the concepts KAXANTA cross-references when synthesising your reading. The zi wei dou shu engine surfaces it alongside eight other wisdom traditions so you can see how the same question reads through multiple lenses.
