Brightness
In Zi Wei Dou Shu, most stars carry a brightness grade set by the palace they occupy.
What this means
KAXANTA uses the seven-tier 全書派 scale, strongest first: 廟 Miao (temple-bright), 旺 Wang (prosperous), 得地 De (obtaining), 利益 Li (advantageous), 平和 Ping (level), 不得地 Bu (unsupported) and 陷 Xian (fallen). The grade describes how well the position supports the star, not whether the outcome is good — and the two helper stars 左輔 Zuo Fu and 右弼 You Bi carry no grade, because this lineage grades no palace for them.
In practice
In KAXANTA, brightness is one of the concepts KAXANTA cross-references when synthesising your reading. The zi wei dou shu engine surfaces it alongside eight other wisdom traditions so you can see how the same question reads through multiple lenses.
